Hand-embroidered textile 2601
Code: 3713Product detailed description
This hand-embroidered textile comes from the Peruvian Amazon and is made by Shipibo women. The patterns are traditionally stitched following ikaros—sacred songs that are part of Shipibo ceremonial culture.
The embroidery is created during ceremonial gatherings connected with traditional Amazonian plants (including ayahuasca ceremonies). Each piece is unique; small variations in stitching, colors and composition are natural signs of handmade work.
